Minnow is a Naarm/Melbourne based studio exploring the ancient practice of fusing glass in a kiln to create objects and jewellery.

Fused glass dates back to around 2000 BCE when artisans in Egypt and Mesopotamia discovered that heating small pieces of glass together at a high temperate would fuse them, creating tactile beautiful forms.

Whilst the technology has evolved, the theory remains the same.

At Minnow, this technique is used to make one-off pieces for the body and home. The wearable glass jewellery is designed to be unisex and the pendants hang on hand made silk cord. Each object for the home is unique in colour and character, never taking itself or its surroundings too seriously.

The organic shapes, colours and forms of fused glass is celebrated and joy is found in the imperfect and unexpected.
